In 1867 Wilhelm Putsch founded the saw company in Remscheid, a town in the 'Bergischen Land' (near Cologne) where quality tools have been produced for more than hundred years.
At this time quite a number of crosscut saws, contractors' saws and other hand saws for woodworking were produced and became well-known under the brand 'Hundehütte'. We still sell a wide range of hand saws.
In 1947 we were the first German company beginning with the production of saw blades under the brand 'WILPU' for electrical jig saws. In the late seventies we expanded by the production of reciprocating saw blades and compressed air saw blades, and a couple of years ago we started producing bi-metal hole saws thus rounding off our programme.
Owing to a steady investment and innovations realised in our production work Wilh. Putsch GmbH & Co. KG is now in this market segment the largest producer in Germany and one of the major producers in the world.
The brand 'WILPU' is being represented worldwide in more than 50 countries by an international network of agencies and import companies.
Our products are only sold to the final consumers through our trade. We offer our trading partners a high delivery performance and a manifold support with regard to the sale of our products.
